one agent run is one full turn — the agent loop from a user message through model calls, tool calls, memory reads/writes and guardrails until the agent stops. multi-step tool use inside a single turn still counts as one run; the next user message starts a new one.
the runtime + sdk are open source under apache-2.0 — self-host today. the control plane (twin graph, guardrails, signals, copilot, audit ledger) is closed; we offer it as managed saas, byoc, or on-prem.
an agent is one named, deployed configuration. you pick the quantity at checkout and adjust later via the customer portal — stripe handles proration. dev/staging copies of an agent count as separate agents on pro; enterprise gets unlimited environments.
